Batman has a new sidekick! Wouldn't that make for a great new Batman movie?! Anyway, the kids got to do something much more fun than trick-or-treating on Halloween... they got to play with their cousins, Wendy and Vera (the princesses)!!! It's been too long since they've been together and it is absolutely wonderful having them (and their parents, Jenny & Alex) home for a while! Josiah and Wendy picked up as if no time had passed and were best friends the entire weekend. Josiah was very sad to leave on Sunday, but at least it won't be but a few weeks before we're back in Greensboro (or they're in Raleigh), instead of the many months that it takes to see each other when they are overseas. I am so excited having my sister and her family so close!!! It it also really nice to be able to call Jenny using only 10 numbers to dial (area code and number), rather than the 21 numbers or so that it takes to call Asia (calling card number + PIN + country code and number). We're looking forward to Thanksgiving as a whole family again (the 4 Beahm kids, the 4 spouses - yes, Lynn is considered a spouse with less than 2 months until the wedding, and the 4 grandkids, for now)! We love our family!!!
