Sisterly and Brotherly Love

Just wanted to share a few of the things that Josiah and Rachel do to show how much they love each other! Rachel wants so badly to be like her big brother and even though they have their moments of disagreement (usually over toys, TV, and attention), they adore one another! Don't worry, they're not wrestling or anything in the first video. Josiah originally would run into Scott's open arms and hug him while trying to knock him over when he was saying "good night". Not too long ago, Rachel started copying Josiah, running into Daddy's arms and giggling wildly while he pretended to be knocked over! Then Josiah wanted to be "Daddy" and let Rachel run to him! It's become part of our bedtime routine now! Oh, and you can tell in the last video that Josiah generally does the talking for Rachel!

Don't they look cute in their matching pajamas from Mimi? :)

Both of the kids are now old enough to truly enjoy art projects, so we've been doing lots of coloring and drawing with mixed media (crayons, markers, pencils, pens). We usually break out the paint while Rachel is napping, but since I've been home more during my track out, we've had more opportunities to be creative while Rachel is awake. So when Rachel saw Josiah with a paintbrush, she became an artist as well!

Rachel's showing school spirit for her JiuJiu (sporting her Gordon Conwell t-shirt)!

This wonderful North Carolina late winter/early spring has allowed for a few days here and there where the weather is warm enough and dry enough to play outside. Rachel loves the red car and the tricycle (thanks, Allison and Peyton!)! Funny story about the wagon in the background... Scott warned me that a screw was loose underneath, so I tightened it before taking the kids to the park in it. We made it all the way to the playground and back, but as soon as we took the kids out and lifted it up to put on the porch, the whole front axle fell off! Guess I hadn't screwed it on tight enough! Don't worry, I let Scott fix it before I took the kids out in it again! :)
